100 most valuable players: Premier League and English players dominate the list

To be part of the 100 most valuable players on the planet, you must have a market value of at least €50 million. Counting all the players with a market value of at least €50m, 114 names make the list, of which 57 play in the Premier League and 11 at Manchester City. The remainder is spread out among LaLiga (19 players), the Bundesliga (14), Serie A (12), Ligue 1 (10), while Liga Portugal and Brazil’s Série A have one each. Those players are Sporting’s Viktor Gyökeres and future Real Madrid star Endrick from Palmeiras. Endrick is the only player on the list not playing in Europe. 

At the top of the ranking remains the trio consisting of Man City’s Erling Haaland, Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham, and PSG’s Kylian Mbappé, who all stayed at €180m. In fourth place is Real’s Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior, with a market value of €150m. Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka (+€10m to €130m) shares fifth spot with Man City’s Phil Foden (+€20m to €130m). The youngest player in the top 100 is 16-year-old Lamine Yamal (+€15m to €75m) from Barcelona. The second youngest player is Endrick (+€10m to €55m). The oldest player on the list is 32-year-old Kevin De Bruyne (€60m).

Among the 15 players with a market value of €100m or more are five players eligible to represent England. Those players are Bellingham, Saka, Foden, Declan Rice, and Harry Kane (both €110m). In Jamal Musiala (€110m), a sixth player initially eligible to play for England, is also in the €100m club, but the Bayern Munich star opted to represent Germany instead. No other country has more players with a market value of €100m or more. Indeed, other than England only Brazil with Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo (€100m) is represented more than twice when it comes to players with a market value of more than €100m.
